Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker

Our client is a looking for a Sheet Metal Worker to join their rapidly growing team in the West Midlands on a permanent basis.  You will be required to manufacture a range of sheet metal products to a high standard, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and maintain high levels of precision by reading engineering drawings, shaping sheet metal, and assembling welded parts.

Responsibilities:

·        Accurately cut materials to specified size and dimensions

·        Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications

·        Fabricate or modify components using tools

·        Shape sheet metal using a variety of hand tools

·        Use hand tools safely and effectively

·        Operate general measuring equipment

·        Handle components, jigs, and fixtures safely and with care

·        Operate heavy machinery in accordance with safety protocols

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working to sheet metal standards

• Skilled in working from detailed specifications and drawings

• Capable of working independently and suggesting improvements where appropriate

• Experience in welding and fabrication

• Familiar with 6S principles and maintaining high housekeeping standards

• A solid background in a similar production-focused role

You will be working as part of a great team that will provide guidance when needed, collaborate with you on continuous improvement and support your ongoing learning and development

Salary- £35,000- £40,000
